Line 4, approximately 22 kilometers long with 20 stations, is one of the network’s primary arteries. Construction began in 2005, and various sections were gradually commissioned until 2016. This line plays a pivotal role in connecting eastern and western districts of Tehran, significantly easing the burden on the city’s main roads.

Line 6, one of the longest in the Tehran Metro system, spans approximately 38 kilometers with 31 stations. Construction started in 2014, and sections have been progressively opened since 2019. This line is critical in linking central and southern areas of the city, leading to substantial improvements in passenger movement and reductions in air pollution.

Laniz Consulting Engineers has been a key technical partner in the implementation of these large-scale projects. With a team of experienced specialists, Laniz was responsible for conducting comprehensive studies, delivering precise structural and tunnel designs, and providing specialized consulting services throughout the process.

Using cutting-edge engineering technologies and international standards, Laniz has contributed to ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of both lines. The firm’s scope of services included technical and engineering analysis, structural and tunnel design, station planning, environmental assessments, and consulting on construction process optimization.

The client for these projects was the Tehran Urban & Suburban Railway Company (Metro), the main authority responsible for expanding the capital’s metro network. The collaboration between Laniz and this governmental body stands as a successful example of combining expertise and experience to promote sustainable urban development.

Given the scale and complexity of Lines 4 and 6, Laniz’s role as technical consultant and designer reflects the company’s deep commitment to advancing the quality of engineering services and delivering safe, efficient infrastructure to the people of Tehran.
